We do a lot to fundraise and raise awareness, more than just providing Ambulances to the people of The Gambia.
UPDATES OF OUR EFFORTS
A LIFE SAVED!
Meet Haddy Sowe and her child. Merkel was called into action 3 months after arriving in The Gambia when Haddy went in to labour and there was a complication resulting in excessive blood loss.
No Merkel would have meant a taxi at best and the worst is unthinkable.
ENGINE CARBON CLEAN EAST MIDLANDS
Another visit from Adrian at Engine Carbon Clean East Midlands - F5ECC to clean the first Ambulance prepared by staff and students from Vision West Notts College.
A perfect example of how any donation helps us, in this case the donation of a free engine clean!
VISION WEST COLLEGE STUDENT FIRST SHOWCASE - INNOVATION CATEGORY AWARD!
On the 22nd March, Mark Vision West Nottinghamshire College to see their Student First Showcase. There were a number of Charity stands supported by students with judging in a number of categories. Mark supported Tutor Andy and students Simon and Phoebe who have both worked hard on our first ambulance.
We won the Innovation Category and Simon and Phoebe collected a plaque and envelope with £100 from Dame Asher Khemka, to be shared by the students.
I am proud to say that I was immediately presented with the cash by the students to support the #ambulancerun.
THE AMBULANCE RUN
On the 1st January 2017 we set off driving Ambulances from Nottingham to The Gambia.
