The #ambulancerun
In 2015 it was decided to obtain some ambulances and drive them to The Gambia where we would put them back to work.
Fast forward to 1st January 2017 and it became a reality as we drove 3930 miles in 11 days putting two ambulances back to work at medical facilities where no ambulances were available.
This was a 2-year project to buy prepare and raise the money we needed.

OUR CAUSES
School Clothing Collections
School Tables and Chairs
Charity Shop
Ambulance Run
School Pack Appeal
CHARITY SHOP
We have opened a charity shop in The Gambia which has become self funding.
We collect and ship household furniture kitchen items and more which are sold. The profits from the shop allow us to build toilets in nursery schools where the current provisions are either non existent or unacceptably poor. Each toilet block costs in the region of £750 to build.
SCHOOL CLOTHING COLLECTIONS
We encourage schools to collect redundant school uniforms that we can collect ship and distribute to schools in The Gambia.
Our photographs show Gambian Students with new items of uniform donated from Nottingham schools.
SCHOOL CHAIRS AND TABLES
We actively seek schools to donate tables and chairs that they no longer need so we can ship them and install them in schools in The Gambia. Too many items end up in the scrap yards in this country, when schools and children's education can be transformed in The Gambia.
SCHOOL PACK APPEAL
We also make school packs for distribution to pupils in schools at a cost of £3.50 per pack. Each pack consists of exercise books, colouring books, pens, pencils, crayons, an eraser, sharpener and plastic wallet. These are delivered to schools to improve their education.
THE AMBULANCE RUN
In 2015 it was decided to obtain some ambulances and drive them to The Gambia where we would put them back to work.
Fast forward to 1st January 2017 and it became a reality as we drove 3930 miles in 11 days putting two ambulances back to work at medical facilities where no ambulances were available.
